Guidance on Filing an IP Complaint

To better protect the rights and interests of content creators and build an IP protection ecosystem for original works, Youku Intellectual Property Protection ("IPP") Platform provides you with one-stop complaint services. If you think any content involved in our multimedia services including youku.com tudou.com Tmall Box Tmall Magic Screen and OTT infringes your rights and interests, you may file a complaint according to the following rules. We will verify the authenticity of your complaint based on the materials you submit, and deal with the infringing content as soon as possible according to applicable laws and regulations.

For what rights can you file a complaint?

You can file a complaint on the IPP Platform if you think the content provided by our platforms infringes your copyright trademark rights patent rights portrait rights right of reputation,etc.

How to file a complaint on the IPP Platform?

If you think your copyright, trademark rights, patent rights, portrait rights or right of reputation have been infringed, you may file a complaint by following the three steps below:

Step 1. Register or login to your Youku account;

When using the IPP Platform for the first time, you need to register an account with your mobile phone number. After registration, you may login the platform via an SMS verification code sent to the registered mobile phone number. You may also login the Youku platform with the mobile phone number and a verification code, and modify your account name and password on the "Account Settings" page under "Personal Settings". You must ensure that you have the legal right to use the mobile phone number that you filled in when registering an account.

Step 2. Provide your personally identifiable information or company information, and upload relevant supporting materials (information authentication);

Step 3. Click "File a complaint" in the "Complaint Management" module, provide the infringing content and link, and upload a complete proof of rights (infringement complaint).

What materials should you provide when filing a complaint?

1. You need to provide the following information in Step 2:

a)Region/Country
b)Photo of personal ID card (individual)/Photo of business license (business)
c)License number
d)Name (individual)/Business name (business)
e)Email

2. You need to provide the following information in Step 3:

2.1 Copyright infringement complaints:

When initiating a complaint in the "Complaint Management" module, you need to:

a)Provide the accurate type and name of works, country/region of jurisdiction, and the term of copyright;
b)Upload the supporting documents that can prove the ownership of the copyright;
c)Provide the link you want to delete or block;
d)Provide the client's name and the term of attorney and upload a power of attorney with the signature (individual) or seal (organization) of the IP rights holder if you are acting on behalf of a rights holder.

Do not submit the same link repeatedly.

2.2 Complaints involving trademark, patent, portrait or reputation rights:

When initiating a complaint in the "Complaint Management" module, you need to:

a)Provide the accurate name of your rights;
b)Upload the content covered by your IP rights or the supporting documents that prove the ownership of the IP rights;
c)Provide the link you want to delete or block;
d)Provide the client's name and the term of attorney and upload a power of attorney with the signature (individual) or seal (organization) of the IP rights holder if you are acting on behalf of a rights holder.

Do not submit the same link repeatedly.
